  • As a Background Artiste, what does OSCASA mean to you?
If your agency is not a member of OSCASA ask them why?
  • ROGUE AGENTS
Beware the trap: Regular work at low pay. Advertisements without any company details.
  • REGISTRATION FEES
It is important to understand what this fee is for. A BOOK fee in other countries has been outlawed due to abuse. A registration fee constitutes admin fees associated with registering you as an artiste on the books of an agency.
  • AGENT FEES
Agency Fees are deducted from the rate given by the production company on a job. This fee is an amount paid by production to the agent for delivering services.
  • OSCA Agent vs NON OSCA Agent
Why join an agent who is a member of OSCASA vs Non Associated agents? Bearing in mind that this is for the non professional segment. NAMA & PMA represent agents in the professional segment.
  • Welcome to 2011
OSCASA welcomes the artistes back to the 2011 season. With production increasing towards the end of 2010, a good sign for all, it is anticipated that the industry will continue to recover progressively during the year. Would ask that ALL artistes download the most current Guidelines which outline the standard expectations for working conditions on set. These and other industry information can be downloaded from the download section of this site.
